Returns and exchanges in one flow

In retail returns are unavoidable; what matters is managing them in an orderly way. The system matches a return from the shop or web shop with the order number, asks for a reason code, books the item back to stock or sets it aside and prepares the credit note.

  • German, French, Italian, English
  • QR-bill and CHF
  • Roles and audit log

Record and decision

A return is recorded with item, quantity, customer and reason code. The item's condition is checked and a decision made: resale, discounted sale, return to supplier or disposal; the decision is booked in the stock record.

Return terms are defined according to the company's own policy.

Exchange and credit

In an exchange the new item is sold in the same transaction and the difference is calculated. A credit note or voucher is prepared for the returned amount; the refund is made by accounting. A returns report by reason, item and period can be produced.

The refund method is assessed separately depending on the payment provider.

Swiss-specific points

In Switzerland, return and exchange terms mostly depend on the shop's own policy. The system applies the periods and conditions the company sets; legal interpretation and consumer-rights questions are decided by the company and its specialist, the software gives no legal advice.
