Tracking
Status and date.
The customer asks the same question every day: where is my order. The system keeps carrier, tracking number, departure and estimated arrival date and status for each shipment, flags delays and prepares an e-mail notice for the customer.
The shipment is opened from the order: carrier, vehicle or container information, departure date and estimated arrival are entered. Statuses are followed as loaded, in transit, at customs and delivered; every change is logged with date and user.
Automatic connection to carrier systems is assessed separately depending on the carrier.
When the estimated arrival is passed the shipment is flagged red and listed for the sales team. The status notice to the customer is prepared as an e-mail draft and sent with your approval; the whole shipment history is visible on the customer card.
Separate status lists can be defined for road, sea and air transport.
By e-mail we discuss your processes, roles, existing systems and how data is moved, and set the scope in writing.
We build the solution around your workflow and connect it to e-mail, calendar, documents and payment.
We test every flow with realistic cases, train your team and go live only when it is right.
In Switzerland transit and road transport are dense and shipments often cross borders. The system follows road, sea and air shipments in the same structure; assessment of border crossing and customs procedures belongs to the company and its customs broker.
Status is communicated by e-mail; a customer portal is optionally assessed separately.
Yes; a carrier is chosen for each shipment and reports are available per carrier.
