Return
Reason code.
Teams in London, Manchester and Birmingham usually want this running before the next quarter, so the scope is built around how your people actually work. Returns are often managed separately and in a scattered way. The system starts a return with a record, plans the collection or drop-off point, inspects the incoming item and, depending on the decision, books it into stock, or sends it to repair or disposal; the customer sees the status.
A return is opened with order number, item, quantity and reason code. The item is collected by adding it to a driver tour, or the customer leaves it at a drop-off point; the status is updated in the record.
The drop-off point network is set up according to the company's own means.
In the warehouse the incoming item is inspected, its condition recorded and a decision made: restock, repair, discounted sale or disposal. The decision is entered in the stock and customer record; the customer is informed by e-mail.
Refunds or account corrections are made by accounting.
By e-mail we discuss your processes, roles, existing systems and how data is moved, and set the scope in writing.
We build the solution around your workflow and connect it to e-mail, calendar, documents and payment.
We test every flow with realistic cases, train your team and go live only when it is right.
UK e-commerce buyers expect returns, and the return period, notice language and currency vary by customer. The system keeps customer language and return terms in the record; legal interpretation of the right of return is made by the company and its specialist.
A label can be prepared by e-mail; carrier label integration is assessed separately.
