Veri*factu and Facturae: is your software ready?

Spain’s invoicing-software rules, Veri*factu, Facturae and TicketBAI, and what businesses need to do.

Why it matters

Spain introduced anti-fraud rules requiring invoicing software to keep tamper-proof, traceable records. The Veri*factu system covers sending invoices to the tax authority or storing them in a verifiable way.

  • Veri*factu: invoice-record integrity and an option to share with the authority
  • Facturae: the e-invoice format for public bodies
  • TicketBAI: the mandatory system in the Basque Country
  • B2B e-invoicing: being phased in under the Crea y Crece law

Who is affected

Most companies and freelancers who use software to issue invoices are affected. Dates and scope can change, so confirm the current position with your tax adviser.

If you are commissioning custom software

Make sure the billing module meets the requirements for record integrity, sequential numbering, QR codes and export. Integrating with an existing accounting package is often the fastest route.

How Globalsoft approaches it

We design invoicing modules around these rules, connect to Holded, Sage, A3 or Quipu, and provide clean exports for your gestor.
