Core Web Vitals and Google rankings in Spain

Why speed metrics matter for Spanish users and Google rankings, and how to improve them.

The three core measures

Google measures experience with LCP (loading), INP (interaction) and CLS (visual stability). Good values help both rankings and conversion.

  • LCP: main content loads in under 2.5 seconds
  • INP: responds to a tap in under 200 milliseconds
  • CLS: layout shift stays under 0.1

Points specific to Spain

Most Spanish users browse on mobile, and sites hosted far away can load slowly. A CDN close to Spain and EU hosting cut latency.

What to do

Convert and size images in modern formats, remove unused scripts, load fonts efficiently and use caching.

Measuring

PageSpeed Insights and the Core Web Vitals report in Search Console show real-user data; check regularly after changes.
