What actually sets the price
Three things decide most of the cost: how many page types and features you need, how much has to be written and designed from scratch, and how many systems the site must talk to, such as payments, stock or a CRM.
- Company site: pages, content and a clean admin area
- Online shop: catalogue, wallet and card payments, delivery rules
- Custom build: accounts, dashboards, integrations and reporting
Dollars and dinars
Most Iraqi agencies and clients agree prices in US dollars and settle in dollars or dinars at the day’s rate. Ask for one fixed figure in dollars, with the milestones written down, so a change in the exchange rate cannot move the price halfway through.
Languages cost real work
Many Iraqi sites need Arabic, Kurdish and English side by side. Proper right-to-left layouts, translated and checked text and separate search titles take extra effort, but they also double or triple the audience you can reach.
Hosting and the first year
Budget for hosting, a domain, a security certificate and a few hours of monthly care. A site that is never updated slowly loses its ranking, and an unpatched one is easy to attack.
How to compare quotes
Compare what is included, not only the total: who owns the source code, how many revision rounds you get, whether the admin area is in your language, and what happens after launch. A written scope with a fixed price protects both sides.
