Selling before the date, delivering recorded and on time

In food and beverage trade the item has a best-before date, a batch and a storage condition, and delivery time is critical. The system tracks batch and date, puts items with near dates first on the sales list, carries the storage-condition note to the shipment and plans delivery per customer.

Batch and issue order

At goods receipt, batch number, best-before date and storage condition are entered. On an order the system suggests issue from the batch with the nearest date; if the customer wants a minimum remaining shelf life it chooses a matching batch and flags stock past its date with a warning.

Hygiene, cold-chain and food-safety processes are the responsibility of the company and its specialist.

Delivery and customer

The delivery tour plan is prepared according to customer delivery windows; batch and date appear on the delivery note. If a missing or damaged delivery is found the customer claim is linked to the same shipment and a credit note is prepared.

Temperature logging of refrigerated vehicles is assessed separately depending on the device.

Swiss-specific points

In Swiss food trade origin, ingredient and allergen information is often requested and demand fluctuates for seasonal goods. The system keeps this information on the item card in four languages; assessment of labelling and food-law matters belongs to the company and its specialist.
