What customers expect

UAE shoppers expect to pay in dirhams by card, increasingly with Apple Pay or Google Pay, and many also like buy-now-pay-later options. Offering the right mix at checkout lifts completed orders.

  • Visa and Mastercard cards
  • Apple Pay and Google Pay
  • Buy now, pay later providers
  • Payment links for invoices and WhatsApp orders
  • Cash on delivery where customers still ask for it

What you need to get started

Providers normally ask for a valid trade licence, a UAE bank account in the company name, the owners’ identification and a description of what you sell. Approval can take from a few days to a few weeks, so start early.

Choosing a provider

Compare transaction fees, settlement time, supported methods, 3-D Secure, refund handling and how well the provider connects to your shop or booking system. Both local and international providers serve the UAE.

After launch

Show prices in AED with VAT clear, send an order confirmation by email, keep a refund policy visible, and test a real payment from start to finish before you announce the site.
