Stock
Per warehouse and shelf.
In trade, goods are in several warehouses, on shelves and in transit. The system holds stock per warehouse and shelf location, reserves for sales orders, supports batch tracking, shows goods in transit separately and reports count differences.
For each item warehouse, shelf, in-transit and reserved quantities are shown separately; the salesperson answers “is it in stock” from the screen. When a customer order is confirmed the quantity is reserved so no other order sells the same goods twice.
Barcode scanner and handheld connection is assessed separately depending on the device.
For items needing batch number and expiry date, tracking is done per batch. Transfers between warehouses run recorded and confirmed; a count list is produced, the difference is calculated automatically and posted to stock on approval.
The stock valuation method is set according to the company’s accounting policy.
