What drives the price
A website’s price depends far less on the number of pages than on what the site has to do: how much custom design it needs, whether it takes payments, how many systems it connects to and who builds it.
- Build route: a template builder, a freelancer, a small studio or a larger agency
- Design: a customised template or a fully bespoke design
- Features: bookings, payments, accounts, search or integrations
- Content: who writes, photographs and translates it
- Running costs: hosting, domain, security updates and support
Typical Swedish price bands
As a rough guide for 2026, a small business site built by a freelancer often lands around SEK 15,000–50,000, while a studio- or agency-built site commonly runs from SEK 40,000 to SEK 150,000 or more. Online shops usually start around SEK 40,000 for a template store and rise past SEK 200,000 when they need custom design, ERP links or several payment methods. Fully custom platforms and apps cost considerably more. Treat these as ranges, not quotes; scope decides the real figure.
Look beyond the build price
Hosting, a domain, security updates, backups, content changes and support continue every month. Ask any supplier for a written split between the one-off build and the yearly running cost, and for a fixed price in SEK that states whether VAT (moms) (moms, 25%) is included.
