Start from what the site has to do
A brochure site, a booking site and an online shop are three different projects. List the pages, the actions a visitor takes and the systems it must connect to, because that list sets the price more than any design choice.
- Brochure site: services, team, contact and a few landing pages
- Booking site: calendar, reminders and deposits
- Online shop: catalogue, stock, delivery and Thawani Pay checkout
Check whether the 5% VAT is in the number
Oman applies 5% VAT to most services. A quote of OMR 600 and a quote of OMR 600 plus VAT are not the same offer, so ask for the net amount, the VAT line and the total separately. Remember that the rial is quoted to three decimals (baisa).
Budget for both languages from day one
Customers expect Arabic and English. Right-to-left layout, translated content and separate search titles are part of the build, and they cost less when planned at the start than when added later.
Ask what happens after launch
Hosting, security updates, backups and small edits continue every month. Ask what is included, who answers when something breaks and whether you receive the source code.
