What a website costs in Norway (NOK)

What shapes the price of a brochure site, an online shop or a custom portal in Norwegian kroner, and the running costs that surprise first-time buyers.

Three kinds of project

A brochure site for a small firm, an online shop and a custom portal are very different jobs. The more logins, payments, languages and integrations, the more the price grows, so a clear scope matters more than a low hourly rate.

What drives the price

Design, content, number of pages, payment and booking features and integrations with accounting systems such as Fiken, Tripletex or Visma are the main levers. Writing and translation into Norwegian and English also take real time.

Running costs

Plan for hosting, a domain, security updates, backups and small changes. Most businesses budget a monthly care plan rather than paying for emergency fixes. Ask whether the quote includes 25% MVA (MVA), since business buyers usually compare prices without it.

  • Fixed scope with written deliverables
  • Price shown in NOK and clear about MVA
  • Hosting, backups and security updates named in the quote
  • You own the domain, code and content
  • A plan for what happens after launch
