Three kinds of project
A brochure site for a small firm, an online shop and a custom portal are very different jobs. The more logins, payments, languages and integrations, the more the price grows, so a clear scope matters more than a low hourly rate.
What drives the price
Design, content, number of pages, payment and booking features and links to Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or Brightpearl are the main levers.
Running costs
A .ie domain, hosting, SSL, maintenance and updates are recurring. Irish quotes are often given excl. 23% VAT, so check which one applies. A .ie domain also needs proof of a connection to Ireland.
Comparing quotes
Ask at least two providers to quote the same written scope, with deliverables, number of revisions and support period set out so the offers can be compared.
