Cutting
List and size.
In metal and woodworking, material is a large part of the cost. The system tracks cutting lists, offcuts and waste, writes actual material use to the work order and shows the cost before the job is finished.
The cutting sizes needed for an order are listed and grouped by sheet, profile or board length. Leftover pieces enter stock as offcuts and are suggested first for the next job.
An optimisation algorithm and a link to the cutting machine are assessed separately.
When the job is finished, actual material use and waste are compared with the quoted values. As metal and timber prices are updated, correct costs are used in later quotes.
The company enters price updates.
