Time
Planned vs actual.
Delays happen in every logistics firm; what makes the difference is how early the delay is seen and when the customer is told. The system compares planned and actual times, lists at-risk deliveries and prepares the customer notice.
Statuses in the driver app and, where available, vehicle position are compared with the plan; orders whose expected arrival exceeds the delivery window stand out in the list. The dispatcher can assign another driver or change the sequence.
Vehicle position requires tracking-device data and is assessed separately.
An e-mail with the new estimated time is prepared for the customer and the sending is recorded. The delay reason (traffic, waiting, address, vehicle breakdown) is coded; at period end, which reason occurred how often is reported.
The accuracy of the estimated arrival time depends on data quality; no exact time is guaranteed.

US customers expect punctual delivery; winter conditions, mountain passes and border waits can be reasons for delay. The system codes these reasons; the customer notice is prepared in the customer's language, and legal matters such as contractual penalties are assessed by the company and its specialist.
An e-mail is prepared and sent with dispatcher approval or by rule; the scope is set together.
