Status
Step by step.
Work is planned in short sprints with a demo at the end of each, so you can change direction early. When a customer calls, you need a quick answer to "where is my shipment". The system shows each shipment's status, driver and vehicle details and estimated arrival time, and sends the customer an e-mail notification.
Each shipment goes through steps such as received, loaded, on the road and delivered; the driver updates the status from a phone. Position can come from the driver app or a vehicle tracking device, and the connection type is assessed separately.
The estimated arrival time is based on the data entered and traffic assumptions.
The customer is informed by e-mail at loading, on departure and before delivery; the e-mail includes a tracking link. If there is a delay, the new estimated time is sent automatically.
Notifications are sent by e-mail only.
By e-mail we discuss your processes, roles, existing systems and how data is moved, and set the scope in writing.
We build the solution around your workflow and connect it to e-mail, calendar, documents and payment.
We test every flow with realistic cases, train your team and go live only when it is right.
In Norway delivery windows are tight and customer languages vary. The tracking page and e-mails go out in the customer’s language, DE, FR, IT or EN; border crossings and customs waits can be noted separately.
Yes; the link in the e-mail shows the status of that shipment only.
Not required; status steps are enough, and a map is added if position data is available.
