USD, tax and local fees: correct Iraqi hotel invoices

Iraq Vision 2035 pushes services online, so customers expect the kind of digital flows they know from the Sahel government app. Prices in US dollars, the right tax and any local fees: your hotel system reproduces Iraqi rules cleanly. Hotel software for Iraq calculates in USD, shows tax correctly and knows the local fees. That makes hotel management software a dependable partner.

Why Iraq has special rules

Iraqi hotels invoice in US dollars, and any tax or fee that applies to accommodation is shown separately on the invoice. Local fees can differ by place. Foreign software is often not prepared for this.

If the invoice does not separate these items cleanly, accounting has to rework them and guests ask questions. A Iraq solution models the rules correctly from the start.

How the system handles it

Prices and invoices run in USD. For overnight stay, breakfast and other services you store the appropriate tax rates, shown on the invoice and in reports. Check the current rates with Iraq Taxation Office (ATO).

You set up the local fees according to your municipality's rules, per person and night, with the usual exemptions. It appears as its own line on the invoice and can be reported for settlement with the municipality.
