We build for how Canadian small businesses really operate: GST/HST that changes by county, T4A contractors, and peak seasons that differ by region. In trade, goods are in several warehouses, on shelves and in transit. The system holds stock per warehouse and shelf location, reserves for sales orders, supports batch tracking, shows goods in transit separately and reports count differences.

Stock visibility
For each item warehouse, shelf, in-transit and reserved quantities are shown separately; the salesperson answers “is it in stock” from the screen. When a customer order is confirmed the quantity is reserved so no other order sells the same goods twice.
Barcode scanner and handheld connection is assessed separately depending on the device.
Batches, counts and transfers
For items needing batch number and expiry date, tracking is done per batch. Transfers between warehouses run recorded and confirmed; a count list is produced, the difference is calculated automatically and posted to stock on approval.
The stock valuation method is set according to the company’s accounting policy.

In Canada many wholesalers manage customs warehouses and goods in free circulation together. The system separates stock per warehouse and records movements; assessment of customs status belongs to the company and its specialist.

Yes; any number of warehouses and shelves are defined and stock is visible for each.
Do goods in transit show in stock?
Yes; it shows as a separate “in transit” quantity, apart from stock ready to sell.
